Semidynamics and SiPearl partner on EU AI platform
The companies will combine ARM-based CPU and RISC-V AI accelerator technologies to develop a sovereign European rack-scale platform for large-scale AI inference workloads.
Semidynamics and SiPearl have announced a strategic partnership to develop a sovereign European rack-scale AI compute platform for large-scale cloud inference workloads.
The collaboration combines SiPearl’s ARM-based CPU technology with Semidynamics’ RISC-V-based GPU/AI inference ASICs to create a high-density AI infrastructure platform targeting enterprise and public-sector deployments, including European AI Factory and Giga Factory initiatives.
The companies said the platform will be based on Open Compute Project standards and designed for energy-efficient, high-throughput AI inference applications such as large language models, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and sovereign public-sector workloads.
As part of the agreement, SiPearl will provide host compute and orchestration, while Semidynamics will deliver accelerator technology and rack-level integration. Future chiplet-level integration is also planned.
“SiPearl is thrilled to see the impact of years of work in the European Processor Initiative and the EU sovereign ecosystem come to fruition with this platform,” said Philippe Notton, CEO and Founder of SiPearl.
Roger Espasa, CEO of Semidynamics, said the partnership gives Europe “a credible path towards sovereign, rack-scale AI infrastructure built around European-controlled compute.”
