Coherent showcases CPO technologies
Company will present photonic integration and optical interconnect technologies for AI data centres.
Coherent will present a range of photonics and optical interconnect technologies at ECOC 2026 in Málaga, Spain, including developments targeting co-packaged optics (CPO) and AI data centre networks.
Among the technical presentations is a 448Gb/s-per-lane InP Mach-Zehnder modulator and semiconductor optical amplifier (MZM-SOA) array PIC aimed at next-generation CPO applications. Coherent will also present a 2.3Tb/s backside-emitting 1060nm VCSEL array on a silicon interposer for CPO.
The company's ECOC programme also includes sessions covering next-generation AI optical interconnects, coherent optics, scale-up and scale-out network architectures, and datacentre cooling and efficiency.
Coherent will additionally demonstrate its latest optical networking technologies at its exhibition booth, including solutions for AI interconnects, CPO, integrated photonics and advanced optical components.
