POET wins Infostone Award for 1.6T PIC innovation
POET Technologies has won the Product Innovation Award at China’s Infostone Awards for its POET Teralight™ 1.6T optical engines, highlighting a key advance in photonic integrated circuit (PIC) technology for AI-driven networks.
In addition, Dr Mo Jinyu, Senior Vice President of Global Product Development, received the Technology Innovation Award in the Individual/Team category.
The award recognises POET’s 1.6T transmitter and receiver engines with integrated driver and TIA, built on the company’s Optical Interposer™ platform. By eliminating wire bonds, the architecture reduces RF crosstalk and enables high-performance operation at ultra-high data rates.
Unveiled at OFC 2025, POET Teralight features a highly integrated optical system-on-chip design that supports both 1.6T DR8 and 2×FR4 modules on a single board, simplifying module development and strengthening its relevance for next-generation AI and data centre PIC applications.
