Photonics veteran launches Aikidovation consultancy
Industry veteran Scott Jordan has founded Aikidovation, a consultancy offering R&D acceleration, market strategy, and confidential “Skunkworks” projects to help silicon photonics and semiconductor companies scale technologies from lab to market.
Silicon Valley industry veteran Scott Jordan has launched Aikidovation, a consultancy aimed at accelerating innovation and growth in silicon photonics, semiconductor manufacturing, and adjacent high-tech sectors.
Jordan, a physicist with over 30 years of experience in photonics commercialisation, previously led global micro-robotics and wafer-probing initiatives at Physik Instrumente, helping scale silicon photonics assembly and testing.
Aikidovation offers services including R&D acceleration, market development, organisational transformation, and confidential innovation projects through its Skunkworks-as-a-Service model.
The consultancy leverages AI and advanced tools to support rapid insight generation while maintaining client confidentiality.
“With Aikidovation, we aim to redirect the force of industry challenges into growth opportunities, helping photonics companies scale technologies from lab to market,” Jordan said.
The launch underscores the growing focus on expertise-driven support for scaling PIC production, commercialisation, and high-performance photonics infrastructure worldwide.
