OneChip Opens New Regional Office in Shenzhen, China

Featuring an on-site lab, the firm hopes localized, on-site support and regional distribution will streamline quality control and manufacturing processes.

OneChip Photonics is opening a new regional office located in Shenzhen, China, to support the critical operations of local customers.

Featuring an on-site lab, the new facility will enable OneChip to offer testing, debugging, and demonstrations for addressing the immediate technical needs of regional customers. This demonstrates the company’s commitment to delivering readily available solutions and timely feedback to its customers.

OneChip’s new office is located near Shenzhen’s High-Tech Park, an international hub of key high-tech R&D and manufacturing activity, in the Nanshan District.

OneChip also announced the establishment of its relationships with ACE Broadband Technology Chengdu and Shenzhen Milli-tech Electronics. The agreements with ACE and Milli-tech, as distributor and manufacturer’s representative, respectively, illustrate OneChip’s understanding of the efficiencies of a local network and the benefits of working in unison with partners that know their customers.

“The opening of OneChip’s Shenzhen regional office and the announcement of a new distributor and representative are testaments to our commitment to our customers and our understanding of our customers’ needs in China and globally,” said Yit Lee, GM for Asia Pacific and VP of Business Development at OneChip Photonics. “Our commitment to delivering immediate, top-level support in China, combined with our synergistic cooperation with ACE and Milli-tech, demonstrates our vision to foster and actively contribute to the overall success of our clients’ operations and product development.”

The creation of a new, operational home base in China is a milestone in OneChip’s growth as a global supplier. Furthermore, the deployment of OneChip’s customer and product support in China offers customers effective and speedy product support, as well as the availability of in-house samples, testing, debugging and demos.”

OneChip’s new Shenzhen regional office will house field application engineers, software customer support, and manufacturing and process support personnel who, with access to the on-site lab, will be able to respond quickly and provide readily available technical feedback. In addition, the housing of its own team of experts in China enables OneChip to not only understand the needs of current customers, but also be responsive to future needs and manage the reliability of its solutions offerings locally.
