SuperLight Photonics partners with Precision Technologies in Singapore

News

The company, which specialises in PIC-based lasers, says this strategic distribution partnership will enable it to bring its products to high-tech industries in Southeast Asia, including for semiconductor manufacturing, advanced metrology, and medical applications

SuperLight Photonics, a company working on PIC wideband laser technology, has announced a partnership with Precision Technologies Pte Ltd, a photonics distributor in Singapore.

According to SuperLight Photonics, this collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening its presence in the Southeast Asia region, ensuring better access to its leading-edge laser and photonics technologies for customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

As demand for next-generation photonics solutions continues to grow, this partnership aims to provide Singapore’s high-tech industries with direct access to SuperLight Photonics’ products. The collaboration also seeks to facilitate tailored solutions and localised technical support to meet the evolving needs of Singapore’s key sectors such as precision manufacturing. SuperLight Photonics says it addresses the need for laser technologies that require the unique combination of wide bandwidth, low noise, and small form factor enabling higher resolution, higher contrast, and higher throughput applications.

“At Precision Technologies, we view SuperLight Photonics’ ultra compact supercontinuum source as a significant advancement in integrated photonics solutions,” said Rick Tan, division sales director of Precision Technologies. “Its high spectral brightness, broad wavelength coverage, and PIC level scalability address critical demands in sensing, metrology, and imaging that match perfectly to Southeast Asia’s growing demand. We are excited to collaborate closely in driving this tremendous innovation growth potential that enables next generation applications, and to achieve shared success in the evolving photonics landscape.”

Jeroen Biesterbos, CCO of SuperLight Photonics, commented: “Singapore is a dynamic hub for technology and innovation, making it a key market for our expansion. Partnering with Precision Technologies allows us to provide local expertise and enhanced support to our customers, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-performance PIC solutions worldwide.”

With Precision Technologies’ established network and industry expertise, SuperLight Photonics plans to offer its laser technologies to a wider range of industries, including semiconductor manufacturing and ultra-precise material processing, advanced metrology, (bio-) medical applications, and scientific research.
