The company’s Photonic Fabric technology aims to address the explosive growth of AI by enabling customers to build clusters of hundreds of XPUs with a high-bandwidth, low-latency interconnect fabric and provision terabytes of unified high-speed memory

Celestial AI has announced that it has received the 2024 “Start-Up to Watch” award presented by the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA). The annual award is presented to companies who demonstrate the potential to positively change the semiconductor industry, through the innovative use of semiconductor technology or a new application for semiconductor technology.

“It is an incredible honour to be selected as this year’s Start-Up to Watch Award recipient,” said Dave Lazovsky, co-founder and CEO of Celestial AI. “On behalf of the entire Celestial AI team, I want to thank the GSA and its members for their support. This award underscores the transformative potential of our Photonic Fabric platform and the calibre of our world-class team as we usher in a new era of optical connectivity for accelerated computing.”

Celestial AI was selected as the recipient of this year’s “Start-Up to Watch” award by a GSA committee of leading venture capitalists and experienced industry entrepreneurs, for its technology platform and customer engagement model.

Today, the explosive growth in AI models is driving the need for network solutions that enable seamless, high-bandwidth interconnects with ultra-low latency and energy efficiency to meet the demands of next-generation datacentre infrastructure. According to Celestial AI, its Photonic Fabric product and technology offerings are the industry’s leading solution for scale-up networking and network-attached high-performance memory, enabling customers to build clusters of hundreds of XPUs with a high-bandwidth, low-latency interconnect fabric and provision terabytes of unified high-speed memory. The Photonic Fabric addresses the most critical scalability and performance chokepoints in AI processing, unleashing new use-cases and advancements in AI system performance for a sustainable future, the company adds.

“On behalf of the Global Semiconductor Alliance, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Celestial AI on receiving the 2024 Start-Up to Watch Award,” said Jodi Shelton, GSA CEO and co-founder. “This recognition is a testament to your groundbreaking advancements and commitment to innovation in the semiconductor industry. We are proud to celebrate your remarkable achievements and look forward to seeing your continued success as you continue to push the boundaries of AI system performance.”

The GSA Awards Celebration is an annual event, attracting more than 1500 leaders who come together to celebrate accomplishments and honour the best-performing companies and top leaders. Each year, the GSA recognises companies that have demonstrated excellence through their vision, strategy, execution and future opportunities.
