News
Former Oclaro general counsel David Teichmann joins Infinera team

Infinera has appointed David Teichmann as chief legal officer and corporate secretary. He will report to Infinera CEO Tom Fallon and will oversee the company’s global legal and corporate governance matters and policies.

Previously, Teichmann served as Oclaro's executive VP, general counsel and corporate secretary from January 2014 until its acquisition by Lumentum in December 2018. Before that, he held a similar position at Trident Microsystems, a public fabless semiconductor company that sold television and set top box integrated circuits. From August 1998 to February 2006, he was at GoRemote Internet Communications, and has held various senior legal counsel positions from 1989 to 2006 in Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Canada and began his career with the Fenwick & West law firm.

“We are excited to welcome David to our team,” said Fallon. “David brings an impressive breadth of experience and expertise to Infinera and will be a tremendous asset as we aggressively pursue a promising set of opportunities with our increased scale and expanded end-to-end solutions portfolio.”

“This is an exciting time for Infinera as evolving customer demands align directly with its unique offerings and capabilities,” said Teichmann. “I am enthusiastic to join the Infinera team and contribute to the company’s growth as it strategically brings to market innovative new networking solutions built upon industry leadership in vertically integrated technology.”

Teichmann holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Trinity College, a master's degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. He was also a Rotary Foundation Scholar at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where he did postgraduate work in Latin American Economics and Law.
