New Fiber Optic Services Target French Businesses

News

Kosc Telecom has said it has introduced what the company describes as the first wholesale fiber optic services dedicated to French business requirements. Currently, the company said its Best Effort Fibre delivers bandwidth up to 1 Gbps download and 250 Mbps upload. Kosc added that its MEF standards-compliant E-Access Fibre is expected to be available by the end of July and that this service will also assure guaranteed symmetrical bandwidth and offer local access services to international carriers requiring connectivity in France.

Additionally, Kosc has unveiled a connectivity as a service (CaaS) model with an e-portal available through web services (Extranet and APIs) that provides customers with control over their back-office administration. Available on all of Kosc's broadband and fiber services, customers can check service eligibility; receive an offer; place, follow, and make modifications to orders; launch service diagnosis; and have access to Kosc customer service in a single user interface.

With over 180 cities now linked, including Paris, Marseille and several smaller cities including La Rochelle and Annecy, Kosc said its broadband and fiber-optic infrastructure covers more than 20,000 km and all of mainland France, including 7.6 million fiber plugs, which comprise 80 percent of all the nation's available plugs.
