Lumentum Receives Award From Huawei

News

'Joint Innovation Partner' award recognises strong collaborative relationship

Lumentum, a manufacturer of optical and photonic products, has received the 2017 'Joint Innovation Partner' award from Huawei - one of the world's largest providers of communications and data network solutions.

The award recognises the strong partnership between the companies who are working together on product planning and joint technology and product development initiatives.

Lumentum president and CEO Alan Lowe accepted the award on behalf of Lumentum during the 2017 Core Partner Convention hosted by Huawei recently in Shenzhen, China.

"We are very pleased and honoured to have been recognised by Huawei with the 'Joint Innovation Partner' award," said Alan Lowe. "It highlights that our relationship has evolved over the years to become an important strategic partnership. We are very proud of our joint accomplishments. We look forward to continuing to work together on next-generation products and their deployment within global networks."

Lumentum and Huawei are jointly developing innovative solutions to more efficiently switch high-speed optical signals in fibre optic networks.

Huawei hosts this yearly supplier event where over 500 people are invited to attend a day-long meeting with guest speakers, panel discussions, and an award ceremony. Lumentum CTO Brandon Collings participated on the 'High-speed Interconnects' panel, providing Lumentum's perspective on trends in future advanced network technologies.
