Alex Wen to support sales of lasers into PON and GPON markets and growth in silicon photonic devices

III-V opto-electronic foundry CST Global, a subsidiary of Sivers, has appointed Alex Wen as China country manager. Alex will act as the exclusive Chinese agent for CST Global, with responsibility for growing OEM, distribution and contract manufacturing sales, in the rapidly developing territory.

Euan Livingston, VP sales and marketing at CST Global, said: "Alex is a well-respected figure in the Chinese photonics market, with over 15 years opto-electronics experience. Prior to his appointment by CST Global, he has held senior sales management roles at major international companies, including CyOptics (now part of Avago), Avnet and ComStar Communication.

"We are pleased to welcome Alex to the CST Global team. His appointment is essential to supporting our continuing rapid expansion in this region, supporting record sales of lasers into PON and GPON markets and massive growth in silicon photonic devices."

Alex graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1996 with a Major in Telecommunication Engineering.
